Study the modules when you feel are ready to. This is because we believe that there is an optimum pace for every learner - and that pace can change depending on circumstances. Today, you may be busy, tomorrow you could have more time and be in a more receptive frame of mind for learning. And, of course, some modules are longer than others.

Demonstrating competence at one level before moving on to the next is one of the seven secrets of successful learning which are covered in Module 2: Learning Principles.

Although you can only be responsible for your own learning, you may also have responsibility for encouraging students to lead their own learning or facilitating learning in your organization. No matter which, 'Learning to Learn' is the course for you.

As the course is about learning, it's probably a good idea to spend a few minutes thinking about what learning and learning processes are – and this is exactly what we are going to do in Module 1...
