It is difficult to think of many skills as important as the ability to learn. We all have this ability, but you can make your own learning — and that of your organization — more effective by understanding some basic principles and applying the proven hints and tips that are to be found in the five modules of this course:

Study the modules when you feel are ready to. This is because we believe that there is an optimum pace for every learner - and that pace can change depending on circumstances. Today, you may be busy, tomorrow you could have more time and be in a more receptive frame of mind for learning. And, of course, some modules are longer than others.

Demonstrating competence at one level before moving on to the next is one of the seven secrets of successful learning which are covered in Module 2: Learning Principles.

Although you can only be responsible for your own learning, you may also have responsibility for encouraging students to lead their own learning or facilitating learning in your organization. No matter which, 'Learning to Learn' is the course for you.
